Minimum Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
โœ๏ธ Experience: 4+ years of experience creating content for technical audiences (e.g., developer documentation, Computer Science materials, IT admin guides).

Preferred Qualifications

๐Ÿ” Experience in privacy and security engineering, especially encryption.
๐ŸŒ Experience in writing for the web.
๐Ÿ“œ Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
๐Ÿ’ป Ability to understand source code (e.g., Java, Python).
๐Ÿ”„ Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment.


About the Role

As a Technical Writer for Cloud Security, you will be an integral part of Google’s engineering and user experience teams. You will craft educational content that simplifies complex security topics for developers, IT professionals, and enterprise users. Your work will involve documentation, UI text, sample code, videos, and other learning materials.

Key Responsibilities

๐Ÿ“– Write technical documentation such as how-to guides, user manuals, API references, and overviews.
๐Ÿ“ Develop additional content including white papers, solutions documents, and project communications.
๐Ÿ“Š Organize & maintain existing documentation while identifying and addressing content gaps.
๐Ÿค Collaborate with engineers to define documentation needs and update existing materials.
โœ๏ธ Edit, clarify, and enhance technical documents written by engineers and other stakeholders.
